Dot Peen Marking uses an indenting pin to create an indentation for each dot in the Data Matrix code. Dot peen marking or often also called dot pin marking is a process of sticking an electromechanically controlled stylus on the surface of a part of the workpiece. Dot peen marking machines are essentially stamping machines that work electromechanically by moving the stylus back and forth and creating indentations on your product. With this machine, you will get a result in the form of a series of stress points that are pressed under the surface, with the size, distance, and shape of the dots that can be adjusted to your needs. The contrast needed for accurate verification comes from the light that reflects differently on the indentations and the surface of the product.
